The MIOS center is an ophthalmology and ophthalmochirgy practice. Its director, Professor de Smet, trained in medicine and ophthalmology in Canada (MDCM, PhD, FRCSC). He specialized in retina and ocular inflammation (uveitis) in the USA (NIH and Johns Hopkins). He has an international reputation in the medical and surgical treatment of retinal diseases and uveitis.

We also address patients with general ophthalmology problems (contactology, fractionation, glaucoma).

He specialized in retinal surgery and ocular inflammation (uveitis) in the United States (NIH and Johns Hopkins University). He is an internationally renowned specialist in the medical and surgical treatment of retinal diseases and uveitis.

We see patients with general surgical and ophthalmological problems (contact lenses, refraction, glaucoma) and perform intravitreal injections, angiographies, OCTs (optical coherent tomography) and lasers in our own practice. We speak French, English, Spanish and Dutch.
