From the outset, MV SANTE VISION has been a pioneer, using the first Femto-laser in Switzerland, as well as the first software (laser blended vision) to offer presbyopes TOTAL vision (near vision, intermediate vision and distance vision). Today, MV SANTE VISION also uses the latest surgical method, SMILE (Small Incision Lenticule Extraction).

The following refractive errors can be treated at our MV SANTE VISION center:

• Presbyopia

Presbyopia generally manifests itself from the age of forty onwards as a gradual decline in near vision. This is a normal aging process of the eye. The arms become too short for reading.
NEW: TOTAL vision for presbyopes.

• Myopia

This is the most common defect. Generally speaking, the eye is too long and/or the cornea is too curved. The image is focused in front of the retina. This anomaly makes it difficult to see distant objects.

• Hyperopia

The eye is too short and/or the cornea too flat. Light rays converge behind the retina. The hypermetropic eye is obliged to focus (accommodate) to see at a distance, and may sometimes have difficulty seeing at close range. The loss of accommodation with age obliges them to wear glasses for all distances, to avoid fatigue and headaches.

• Astigmatism

In principle, astigmatic eyes present anomalies in corneal curvature. The cornea does not have a spherical surface like a soccer. It is more curved in one axis than the other, and looks more like a rugby ball. Rays do not focus on a single point on the retina. Objects therefore appear distorted.
