Franscini Lorenzo (Lugano)

Dr. Lorenzo Franscini

Dr. Franscini received his medical degree from the University of Zurich in 2004 and his doctorate from the University of Bern in 2005.

After working in surgery and internal medicine, he specialized in ophthalmology at Jules Gonin University Hospital in Lausanne, where he was appointed clinical head in 2010.

In 2010 he obtained the diploma of the European Board of Ophtalmology in Paris achieving the 3rd best European examination. In the same year he obtained the FMH diploma in ophthalmology.

In 2011 he was an examiner at the federal medical examinations at the University of Lausanne.

In 2012 he obtained the FMH degree in ophthalmology.

In 2013 he started a freelance practice, opening a medical practice associated with Drs. L. Artaria and R. De Peron.

In the surgical field, he mainly deals with cataract surgery, refractive surgery and oculoplastic surgery. He conducts his surgical practice at the AVANTI center in Lugano-Pazzallo.

Dr. Franscini has authored several scientific publications and presentations at international congresses and is fluent in Italian, French, German and English.
